“Whiskey Bar”
43” x 19” acrylic on canvas, framed

Last year, I created a painting titled "Above the Bar" for my daughter, which is displayed in the Food & Beverage section, to fit a particular area in her condo. I relished the process and was inspired to create a variant featuring bottles at the bar. My fascination lies in the history of whiskey, as rich as its taste, and the distinctive labels, shapes, and hues of whiskey bottles. From the 19th century to today, bottles and labels have been crucial in forming whiskey's perception and consumption, embodying a blend of art, history, and craftsmanship. To impart texture and bring out vibrancy and depth, I employed both brush and palette knife techniques. Additionally, I created a custom-painted frame that subtly incorporates the names of popular whiskey drinks.
